Job Specification: The Welcome to Wollongong Community Working Group has announced plans to stage the "Welcome to Wollongong" Civic Reception and Festival at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and Civic Plaza, in Burelli Street, Wollongong on the 26th February, 2010. This event follows the great success of the Welcome to Wollongong celebrations in 2009. Volunteers will be needed in advance of the event to help with marketing and promotion in the local community and assist with organisation of the festivities. Volunteers will be needed on the day to help set up and pack up chairs and equipment, direct guests to appropriate areas, help in information booths, with staging and liaising with performers, handing out and collecting surveys and to generally assist in making the event run smoothly.
